Stories for Telling is an invitation to all who work and play with young children to become story tellers; to discover the joy of storytelling and discover the intimate world that stories create. The stories in Stories for Telling have been specifically written for telling and generally have few characters so they can be easily remembered. The stories have a visual dimension that is easily translated into telling with the use of props. The props used in the book are easily and inexpensively made. Many of them are made from recycled materials. Photographs and some templates have been included to illustrate these.
